Drupal is exploding in popularity right now -- now Verizon is hiring Drupal developers -- but it is explicitly in relationship to Drupal and Sustainability that I am trying to move things forward at MIT. I love Drupal, and would be happy to do anything with it. And I think the community of Drupalistas is extraordinary. But Drupal has unique functionality to offer when it comes to communicating the issues of sustainability, and over the next year that power will become more and more apparent.</div><div><br></div><div>The <a href="http://drupalgroup.mit.edu/">MIT Drupal Group site is back up</a>, and web pub members should join it so that they can see the behind-the-scenes administration -- that, in my opinion, is all that makes Drupal unique. I have no idea how the site will or should evolve. But this is a very unique moment in time -- in politics, in media, and in web development. I'm certain Drupal will play a major role in those changes, and seeing those changes evolve in real time seems a great opportunity for all of us.
