<p class="MsoNormal">The School of Communication, Media &amp; Theatre Arts at Eastern Michigan University invites applications for the position of Technical Director for EMU Theatre. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the construction of sets
and assisting with all aspects of technical theatre (save Costume and Makeup) for EMU’s annual production season. The individual will oversee the scene shop at all levels (safety, construction, training and supervision of student workers, budget and inventory,
maintenance of equipment and facilities, construction and running crews, etc.). The individual will mentor students in both the Entertainment, Design &amp; Technology and Theatre Arts programs. Design responsibilities will vary depending on the season. Qualifications
include experience with design and construction of sets, sound/lighting/projection tech, CAD, computers and networking, rigging and stage carpentry. A graduate degree or commensurate professional experience is preferred.<br>
