Part-Time Instructor to Teach Two Classes in Technical Theater/Scenic Construction
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">1. Work with student and faculty scenic designers on faithful rendering of creative
design ideas.<br>
2. Manage the construction, painting, and installation of all scenic elements for BSU
Theatre Department Productions.

<p><span style="font-size:12pt">Supervise students in the implementation of all scenic elements.
</span></p>

<li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">
<p><span style="font-size:12pt">Provide safety training and a safe work environment for student workers.
</span></p>

<li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">
<p><span style="font-size:12pt">Manage/maintain the Theatre Department’s collection of production furniture and

</ol>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">prop items.
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">6. Coordinate with Theatre Department Faculty/Technical Director and Auditorium
Technical Director on matters regarding scheduling, scenic construction, lighting
installation, sound installation, and performer/staff safety.

<p><span style="font-size:12pt">Purchase construction materials and shop supplies needed for scenic construction.
</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12pt">Be available for evening and weekend rehearsals/work related to the production
</span></p>
</li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">schedule.<br>
9. Be comfortable with and able to handle dirty work and heavy lifting of materials and
equipment, sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.<br>
10. Each course is an average of 9 hrs/week (18 hrs/week for the two courses together)
for 14 weeks, but actual distribution of hours may vary according to production
schedule needs.
