Faculty Position Stagecraft and A/V &amp; Technical Manager (Part time Position)<br>
Reports to Arts Chair / Director of Community Outreach<br>
<br>
Job Overview<br>
<br>
Qualified person will oversee and run all aspects of the technical and A/V needs in the Simon Center <br>
for the Arts including Morse Hall. Events produced here are both school and community related.<br>
Flexible scheduling and includes some weekends, after school and evening work.<br>
This position also includes a faculty position to teach one 75-minute class per week of Stagecraft <br>
which integrates closely with the Drama department and the production of three annual school plays.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities and Duties<br>
<br>
Oversee all aspects of event and theatrical productions including but not limited to: safety,<br>
lighting, projection, audio, staging and props for all events<br>
Teach a once a week Stagecraft class to up to 12 students that integrates with Drama<br>
Ensure that all aspects of the event conform to current life safety codes and requirements<br>
Act as a primary carpenter in the scene shop<br>
Other duties as assigned by the Arts Chair/ Dir. Of Community Outreach<br>
<br>
Qualifications<br>
<br>
BFA/MFA in Technical Production or Technical Direction Management preferred.<br>
Three-years of experience in a comparable environment with a proven record of success<br>
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and handle extensive standing, walking and ladder climbing.<br>
Ability to remain calm and productive in difficult situations demonstrating good people skills and<br>
sense of humor.<br>
