I feel I would have more time to work on USITT New England and try and make the chapter more active. </div>

Hi everyone,<br>
<br>
In a little over two weeks we will be holding the USITT NE meeting at the conference in Ft. Worth.<br>
This year there are two leadership positions being vacated which means we will hold elections for 2-3 positions during the annual meeting.<br>
<br>
<br>
The positons are:<br>
<br>
1. Regional Chair<br>
2. Treasurer<br>
3. Clerk/ Secretary<br>
<br>
<br>
Regional Chair- leads the group at the annual meeting, is in contact with KCACTF about participation in the region 1 conference, works with StageSource to co sponsor the annual job fair, and files activity reports with USITT National.<br>
<br>
Treasurer- The treasurer or clear needs to file reports with the Commonwealth of Mass and USITT that include financial information.<br>
<br>
Clerk/ Secretary- The main job of the clerk is to receive official notices from the Commonwealth of Mass. The clerk must be a Massachusetts resident.<br>
<br>
Note: the Treasurer and Clerk/Secretary may be held by the same person.<br>
<br>
Ron Dallas (the present Treasurer/Clerk/Secretary) is relocating outside the region this summer, but has generously offered to advise the incoming Treasurer and Clerk about the procedure for keeping the organization on the books.<br>
<br>
I encourage anyone interested in these positions to self nominate ASAP so that we can get your information out to the membership.<br>
If you have been disappointed with the amount of activity the group has sponsored in the past, this is your chance to make a positive change.<br>
