<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;">In a little over two weeks we will be holding the USITT NE meeting at the conference in Ft. Worth.</font></div>
<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;">This year there are two leadership positions being vacated which means we will hold elections for 2-3 positions during the annual meeting.</font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;">The positons are:</font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"> 1. Regional Chair</font></div>
<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"> 2. Treasurer</font></div>
<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"> 3. Clerk/ Secretary</font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"><b>Regional Chair-</b> leads the group at the annual meeting, is in contact with KCACTF about participation in the region 1 conference, works with StageSource to co sponsor the annual job fair, and files activity reports with USITT National. </font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"><b>Treasurer- </b></font><font face="Times New Roman" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:12pt;color:#000000;">The treasurer or clear needs to file reports with the Commonwealth of Mass and USITT that include financial information. </font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;"><b>Clerk/ Secretary-</b> </font><font face="Times New Roman" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:12pt;color:#000000;">The main job of the clerk is to receive official notices from the Commonwealth of Mass. The clerk must be a Massachusetts resident.</font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;">Note: the Treasurer and Clerk/Secretary may be held by the same person. </font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;">Ron Dallas (the present Treasurer/Clerk/Secretary) is relocating outside the region this summer, but has generously offered to advise the incoming Treasurer and Clerk about the procedure for keeping the organization on the books.</font></div>

<div align="left" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Geneva" size="+0" color="#000000" style="font-family:Geneva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000;">I encourage anyone interested in these positions to self nominate ASAP so that we can get your information out to the membership. </font></div>
