an overhire stitcher-draper for all mainstage productions for our 13/14 performance
season.  37.5 hours/week, available Sept.
3^rd-Dec. 20^th, January 6^th-May 2^nd. </p><p class="" style="text-align:justify"></p>

<p class="" style="text-align:justify"><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>

<p class="" style="text-align:justify"> </p>

<p class="" style="text-align:justify;text-indent:0.5in">Overhire
Stitcher/Draper: Works with Costume Shop Manager (CSM) and Assistant Costume
Shop Manager (ACSM) to interpret professional costume designs, from sketch
through completion.  Drafting, draping,
stitching, and construction of all pieces as required/requested.  Taking measurements, tailoring, corsetry, fittings,
crafting, assisting student workers, and millinery as needed, amongst other
duties as they arise.  We produce Musical
Theater, Opera, and Dance shows every year; varied skill set required.  Because of our creative, exciting, and fast
paced environment, our needs vary greatly; flexibility is very important at the
Boston Conservatory Costume Shop.   </p>

<p class="" style="text-align:justify"><b>Job Requirements:</b></p>

<p class="" style="text-align:justify">Bachelor’s
Degree- BFA, concentration in Costume Design, Theater/Production Design, or
Fashion Design.  Proficiency on
industrial machines required as well as Pattern drafting and draping
proficiency.  Candidate should be
flexible, and work well with others.  </p>
