<p class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="text-align:justify">Seeking
an overhire stitcher-draper for all mainstage productions for our 12/13
performance season.  37.5 hours/week, available
immediately through Dec. 21^st, January 7^th-May 3^rd.  Job includes acting as Stock Manager for all
costume rentals.  </p>

<p class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="text-align:justify"><b>Responsibilities:</b></p>

<p class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="text-align:justify"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;text-indent:0.5in">Overhire
Stitcher/Draper: Works with Costume Shop Manager (CSM) and Assistant Costume
Shop Manager (ACSM) to interpret professional costume designs, from sketch
through completion.  Drafting, draping,
stitching, and construction of all pieces as required/requested.  Measurements, fittings, crafting and
millinery as needed, amongst other duties. 
We produce Musical Theater, Opera, and Dance shows every year; varied
skill set required.  Because of our fast
paced environment, our needs vary greatly; flexibility is very important at the
Boston Conservatory Costume Shop.  </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">                Stock Manager:  Works with CSM and ACSM, as well as student
stock managers, to organize and keep rental appointments for student
productions on an as needed basis.  Keeps
stockroom well maintained and organized. 
Oversees Student Stock Managers for each department.  Pulling costumes as needed for mainstage
productions, as instructed by CSM or ACSM. 
Organize and keep rental return appointments as needed.  Some bookkeeping required, as rentals have a
nominal cash deposit.  </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b>Job Requirements:</b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Bachelor
Degree- BFA, concentration in Costume Design, Theater/Production Design, or
Fashion Design.  Proficiency on
industrial machines a must.  Pattern
drafting and draping proficiency a must.
