As we cast around for regional workshops, I want to put in for a good one on projection.

I missed Houston so I don't know about sessions this year, but this part of our work is no longer in the future. The price of hardware is coming down, it's all over Live Design and increasing in Stage Directions. Dance companies are really big on projection. In response the software, hardware and production application all continue to evolve. If we're not doing it now, we will be.

There's a lot that some of us need to know here, and a few people in the region have been working through the issues. If Jack Carr is working with Isadora and others are working with QLab, a demo and/or a programming workshop would be a big draw for me. Along with some discussion and sharing of collective experience about media servers, multiple machines vs multiple video cards, expectations from different levels of equipment investment, etc. Any other takers?

Arthur

Dr. Arthur L.
