<div>On October 15th 2006 Cosmo Catalano, Technical Supervisor<font
face="Lucida Grande" color="#000000"> of the</font><font
color="#000000"> '62 Center for Theatre and Dance</font>, will lead a
tour of the new<font color="#000000"> '62 Center for Theatre and
Dance</font> theater complex at Williams College. We will start
at 1pm. The theater designed by William Rawn is a
Merit winner of the USITT architecture awards. Cosmo was
involved full time in the design and construction of the building so
we will have unique insights on the process from one of our own
members.</div>

<div>Informal background discussion on the theater, the program,
Cosmo's position in the planning and execution of the project and the
roles of the other players, the architect and the consultants.
Bring your bag lunch, We will supply the drinks.</div>
<div>1:45 PM</div>
<div>A Hands on tour of the project from grid to trap room and
everywhere in between. Questioning encouraged! (as if we had to say
that with this group) Come dressed to explore, not to look
good.</div>

<div>It should also be prime leaf peeping season., so plan on
converging in Williamstown in on October 15 for an exploration of the
new theaters and a chance to get together and have a great time with
friends & colleagues.</div>
<div>The leaf peepers are likely to be out in force so give yourself
extra time to get to Williamstown.</div>
<div>Please let us know soon if you are planning to come (including
friends & students) just so we have an idea of how many drinks are
needed and how to structure the tour.</div>

<div>Directions:</div>
<div>From Boston, take the Mass Pike west to Exit 2 (Lee). Take
Rts 7&20 North towards Pittsfield. In Pittsfield, continue
on Rt 7 north towards Williamstown. In Williamstown continue
north on Rt 7 through the traffic circle. Leaving the traffic
circle, continue down the hill, you will see the parking garage on the
right. Just past the garage, turn right on Whitman St.
Take the first right, continue right onto the garage's upper deck.
Park anywhere. Enter through doors under the big glass dance
studio. Come up the steps to the main lobby.<br>

Using Rt 2 West, go through North Adams to Williamstown. At the
junction with Rt 7, turn right onto Rt 7 north. Continue down
the hill, you will see the parking garage on the right. Just
past the garage, turn right on Whitman St. Take the first right,
continue right onto the garage's upper deck. Park anywhere.
Enter through doors under the big glass dance studio. Come up
the steps to the main lobby.<br>

>From Northampton, take Rt 9 to Rt 8A in Savoy. Take 8A to Rt 116
(watch your speed here). Rt 116 to Adams. Rt 8 to Rt 2
West in North Adams (there's some tricky turns under the highway in
North Adams). Go through North Adams to Williamstown. At
the junction with Rt 7, turn right onto Rt 7 north. Continue
down the hill, you will see the parking garage on the right.
Just past the garage, turn right on Whitman St. Take the first

anywhere. Enter through doors under the big glass dance studio.
