<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Saint Michael's Playhouse enjoys a rich tradition</FONT> <FONT FACE="Arial">of</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial"></FONT> <FONT FACE="Arial">more than</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial"> 50 years. From its humble beginnings, situated in an old wooden farm building on the</FONT> <FONT FACE="Arial">grounds</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial"> of Saint Michael</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">'</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">s College, this professional summer theater has blossomed into Northern Vermont's Actors' Equity Theater presenting its works in the state-of-the-art McCarthy Arts Center</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial"> Theater</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">. Each summer approximately 13,000</FONT> <FONT FACE="Arial">audience members</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial"> attend t</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">his vibrant theater to enjoy professional productions which feature talent from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and regional theaters from across the country. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">The Playhouse Internship Program provides hands-on advanced training in theater production, administrat</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">ion and performance. The program offers students, graduates and other interested persons the opportunity to work closely with outstanding professionals in each field. This exposure to professionals at work</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">-</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">and to our audience</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">-</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">teaches interns what theater</FONT> <FONT FACE="Arial">m</FONT><FONT FACE="Arial">eans to the life of a community, and how the life of a community enriches its theater.</FONT></P>

Candidates must have previously acquired skills in areas of theatrical production</FONT><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial"> (i.e. scenery, costumes, props, lighting, sound, sta</FONT><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial">ge management, etc.)</FONT><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial">.
