many of you may have heard, MIT has recently dismissed a proposal to make Election Day a holiday this year. This proposal was championed by the diligent and well-intentioned efforts of certain faculty members, student groups, and prominent campus voices. We,
as students, have been deprived of a fundamental choice. A choice between our education and having a say in the future of the country. This deprival is a tremendous loss to those who recognize the virtue of participation when it comes to the health and sanctity
of our democracy. This election is not the time for doublespeak or line-stradling. </span></span></span></span></span></p>
