<p>Dear Undergraduates,</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>We are writing to you in light of the devastating explosion in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, and with hope that we can come together as a community to support and stand by those enduring hardship. A couple of weeks ago, the crisis took many lives, rendered
large numbers homeless and left those in Beirut in dire need of medical support. We must not forget the humanity in this crisis -- this explosion resulted in the loss of loved ones, of homes, of life as it was. In an already uncertain and trying time, a crisis
like this demands that we take action. </p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>The Lebanese Club at MIT and the MIT Arab Alumni Association have mobilized to create a
<a href="https://gf.me/u/yn5d4p">fundraiser</a> to support the thousands in Beirut who are not only enduring the consequences of this pandemic and an economic crisis, but now also the consequences of this explosion.

</strong>All proceeds will be going to the <a href="https://www.seal-usa.org/BeirutEmergencyFund">
Beirut Emergency Fund</a>, initiated by Social and Economic Action for Lebanon (SEAL), for critical Lebanese NGOs on the ground, including the Lebanese Red Cross and Arcenciel. Let’s come together as a community to support our Lebanese friends and neighbors
in healing Beirut as it recovers from this tragedy. </p>
