<div>I hope you are all enjoying the week! Now that elections have concluded and our officer team is chosen, we are eager to begin selecting Committee Chairs and Vice-Chairs for the upcoming year. Serving as a Committee Chair/Vice-Chair provides a unique opportunity
for you to work with students, faculty, administrators, and staff to improve the undergraduate experience at MIT. We are hoping to find a team of dedicated committee chairs/vice-chairs that represent the diverse student body and are passionate about student
led change. </div>

<div>Below is a list of committees taking applicants and a brief description of what the committee does:</div>

<li><b>Alumni Affairs:</b> A committee that builds relationships between the Undergraduate Association and alumni, and explores opportunities to expand relationships between the undergraduate body and alumni.</li></ul>
</div>

<ul style="font-family:"Times New Roman"; font-size:12pt">
<li><b>Campus Planning:</b> A committee that works on creating a plan for the future of MIT including negotiating dining contracts and looking at creating and enhancing community spaces on campus.</li></ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul style="font-family:"Times New Roman"; font-size:12pt">
<li><b>Community and Diversity:</b> A committee that works on creating an equitable and welcoming campus for all undergraduates.</li></ul>
</div>
<div>
<ul style="font-family:"Times New Roman"; font-size:12pt">
<li><b>Community Service:</b> A committee that explores ways to involve undergraduates in their community through service and building relationships with local groups.</li></ul>
</div>

<li><b>Events: </b>A committee that organizes a variety of events for the undergraduate community including SpringFest, FallFest, and Tech Twinkles.</li></ul>
</div>

<li><b>History:</b> A committee that documents the history of the Undergraduate Association and important events for undergraduates, so that the current and future boards can function properly.</li></ul>

<li><b>Involvement: </b>A committee that explores ways to involve students in the UA, bring their ideas and opinions into the policy creation process, and develop community within the UA through planning events.</li></ul>
</div>

<li><b>Public Affairs: </b>A committee that establishes and maintains a relationship between the Undergraduate Association and local, state, and federal government, as well as businesses, and advocates for undergraduate interests.</li></ul>

<li><b>Resource Development:</b> A committee that works to find new sources of funding for the Undergraduate Association and undergraduates.</li></ul>
</div>

<li><b>Special Projects: </b>A committee that works on various projects that come up throughout the school year, such as Boston shuttles.</li></ul>
</div>

<li><b>Student-Admin Collaboration: </b>A committee that explores ways to improve student-administrator collaboration and advocates for students to administrations.</li></ul>

<li><b>Technology: </b>A committee that develops the technology necessary for the Undergraduate Association to function, and explores new technological innovations to enhance student life. </li></ul>
