He joined </span><a href="http://forbes.com" class="">Forbes.com</a><span style="color: rgb(33, 33, 33);" class=""> in 2000 to cover the Human Genome Project and has written thousands of stories on topics from genetics to drug discovery to health economics and public health. In 2007, he documented delays in a study of the heart drug Vytorin that led to a dramatic decrease in prescriptions of that medicine. His 2011 cover profile of Bill Gates was a defense of one of humanity’s greatest achievements: the vaccine. His regular evaluations of the economics of drug discovery have been featured in investor presentations by Johnson & Johnson and Novartis.
