find important. Work closely with faculty and administrators. Change
something that isn't working for undergrads, or continue to guarantee

are charged with investigating and
recommending action on issues vital to the proper functioning of the
Institute. Many committees have considerable duties, and are
empowered to address issues of substantial significance and
recognition;
work in these committees is influential and can be rewarding in many
ways.<br>

undergraduates do not often
find themselves
wondering what to do with all of their spare time, so a key concern for
many prospective applicants is time commitment. You may want to know
that many of the Institute Committees are not busy year-round; some are
busy for a month, some have three meetings a year, and some may meet
every couple of weeks over lunch. This does not alter the fact,
however, that these committees are important. Working on a committee is
an excellent opportunity to voice your opinion and the opinion of your
peers while making decisions about some of the most important issues on
campus. <br>

Committee on Student Life, Committee on Undergraduate Admissions &
