Sí</i>, the encyclical letter on “Care for our Common Home.” And yet, when it comes to attention to important life issues in the United States, global climate change and other ecological crises often fail to rise to the level of concern or attention that other
prolife subjects typically do. In this presentation, Fr. Daniel draws on the consistent ethic of life principle to show how the Catholic tradition ought to recognize global climate change as the most important life issue today, for it threatens the very conditions
of <i>all life </i>on this planet.</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>

P. Horan, OFM, PhD<b> </b>is Professor of Philosophy, Religious Studies and Theology and Director of the Center for Spirituality at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. He previously held the Dun Scotus Chair of Spirituality at Catholic Theological
Union in Chicago. A columnist for the <i>National Catholic Reporter</i>, he is the author of fourteen books, including <i>All God’s Creatures: A Theology of Creation
</i>and <i>Catholicity and Emerging Personhood: A Contemporary Theological Anthropology</i>. His two latest are titled <i>A White Catholic’s Guide to Racism and Privilege </i>and <i>The Way of the Franciscans: A Prayer Journey Through Lent</i>. Fr. Daniel regularly
lectures around the United States and abroad; serves on a number of university, academic, and publication editorial boards. He is co-host of <i>The Francis Effect Podcast</i>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
