It consists of the psalms and readings of the Office of Readings, extended by canticles and Gospel reading of the Vigil. </span><br style="font-size:12.8px"><br style="font-size:12.8px"><span style="font-size:12.8px">This evening begins the celebration of Pentecost, a major feast in the liturgical year: "On that day, the Holy Trinity is fully revealed. Since that day, the Kingdom announced by Christ has been open to those who believe in him" (CCC 732).</span><br>
