[TCCM] You're Invited to MIT Tech Catholic Community Fall Retreat!

Hello everyone,

I hope your semesters are all going well! I wanted to reach out and extend an invitation to our upcoming Fall Retreat. The retreat will take place October 6-8 (long weekend!) at the Betania II Spiritual Retreat Center (a beautiful retreat center within walking distance of what is possibly the world's largest rosary!). The retreat will provide a much-needed break from the stress of MIT as well as many opportunities to grow closer to God and to your fellow TCC members. (See signups for more information.)

FAQs

  1.  Q: What if I'm not Catholic/I've never been on a retreat before? Can I still come?
A: Yes, of course! The retreats we have are often the first retreat that some of the attendees have been on, and you don't have to be Catholic to attend.

  2.  Q: Is the retreat expensive?
A: It's free!

  3.  Q: Will I have any time left in the weekend if I go on the retreat?
A: Yes! Luckily, it's a long weekend, so assuming you have class till 5 pm Friday, and class on 9 am Wednesday (typically the latest + earliest possible classes), your weekend lasts 112 hours. The retreat is from Friday at 7:30 pm until Sunday at noon, which is only 40.5 hours. So, even if you attend the retreat, you should still have 72 hours of free time left over the weekend (over 64% of your weekend!).

  4.  Q: What if I don't know anyone else going?
A: There will be many opportunities to make lots of new friends! 🙂
