Hello everyone,

Please join us this coming *Sunday (November 12th) at 9:30 AM* in the MIT
chapel to celebrate the Catholic vocation to science and engineering with
our annual *Gold Mass* and *St. Albert the Great lecture*!

As you may know, the Gold Mass is one of many special Masses held for
different professions. The oldest Mass for professions, the Red Mass, was
established in the 13th century for lawyers and lawmakers. More recently,
the first Gold Mass for scientists and engineers was held at MIT on
November 15, 2016. Join us in continuing this tradition where it started!

The Mass will be followed by a catered reception and a lecture by *Fr.
Nicanor Austriaco, OP, PhD* on *"The Science and Ethics of CRISPR and
CRISPR-inspired Gene Editing"* in the MIT building W11 main dining room.
Please *RSVP here <https://forms.gle/JQsNkTsd3auCuk6k8>* to help us plan
the catering order.

This event is organized by the MIT Tech Catholic Community and is
co-sponsored by the Thomistic Institute and the Harvard-MIT Chapter of the
Society of Catholic Scientists <https://scs.mit.edu/>.

Best,
Kevin
