Hello everyone!

This Sunday, October 16 at 6:15 pm there will be a Thomistic Institute Talk after the 5pm Mass in W11! Refreshments in the form of traditional post-Mass pizza will be provided.

The talk is titled Evolution and Goal-Directedness: How Darwin Re-Invented Teleology. The speaker, Father Mariusz Tabaczek, O.P., is a Polish Dominican, theologian, and professor of theology and member of the Thomistic Institute at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome.

Come learn about the differences between teleology (goal-directed evolution), design and function, and vitalism, as well as Darwin’s attitude towards teleology.
