We just got news of a talk at Sloan that’s of interest to Catholics on campus:

Fr. David Neuhaus, SJ, whose very interesting biography is below,  will be on campus this Friday, Oct 28 for a lunch conversation at MIT Sloan (E62), from 11:45am – 1pm.  (Note: this is during the noon Mass)

David Neuhaus was born and raised in Johannesburg in 1962 to a German Jewish family that escaped to South Africa during the Holocaust. While completing his BA, MA, and PhD degrees in Political Science at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, he felt called to become a Catholic and was ordained a Jesuit priest in Jerusalem in 2000.

Today, Fr. David, works with Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities to promote understanding. He teaches at Bethlehem University, is a Research Fellow at the Jewish Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, and helps care for migrant workers and asylum seekers in Israel.


Fr. David is also visiting Boston College to give The Fifth Annual John Paul II Lecture in Jewish-Christian Relations on Sunday, Oct 30:
