Please be aware of the following if you plan to drive to campus this Sunday.

The annual Cambridge Carnival and Parade http://cambridgecarnival.org/ will be held this Sunday, September 13th, in Kendall Square.

Street closures and Parade Route
Cambridge Carnival – 2015

FESTIVAL SITE STREET CLOSURES:
The Festival will take place on Main Street between Galileo Way / Vassar Street and Broadway
Ames St. between Broadway and Amherst St. closed from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
                        Main St. between Portland Street and Broadway closed from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Vassar Street and Galileo Way closed from Mass Ave to Broadway from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
(There will no entry to the Stata Garage between 12:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and exiting may be impacted by the crowds.)

PARADE ROUTE:
The parade will stage on Blackstone Street and begins on River Street at Blackstone.  It will run the entire length of River Street into Central Square, turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue, turn left onto Main Street and end at Vassar Street.
8:00 a.m.         Blackstone Street closed in both directions – open to abutters only.  Re-opens once all parade floats are on River Street (approximately 1:30 p.m.)
12:00 p.m.       River Street closes to all traffic except 808 – 810 Memorial Drive, Whole Foods Rite Aid.  Traffic on Putnam Ave will experience delays at River Street between 12:00 p.m. and 3 p.m. to allow parade floats to pass.
1:30 p.m.         Massachusetts Avenue will be closed between Prospect Street and Main Street in both directions until 3:30 p.m.  No parking will be allowed during this time.
