Argentina has recently declared July 11 as <I>"El Día Nacional del Bandoneón." </I>Johnny will discuss its significance in Argentine history. The lecture will involve the history, evolution as well as its impact on the music and how the instrument's sound and layout was affected by the ISO's changing of standards. A few historical figures will be discussed (Aníbal Troilo and other great bandoneonistas) and you will hear some of these great masters play in solo on the bandoneón.<BR>
