<font size="-1">Jorge Torre's refined talent and style place him among
the<br>
oustanding choreographers and dancers of Argentine Tango.<br>
Before graduating as a teacher of dancers, Jorge began his
career</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">in the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires. He
studied with</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Norberto Guichanduc, Rodolfo Dinzel, Pepito
Avellaneda and<br>
Antonio Todaro.<br>
<br>
He has danced in the most noted tango houses and theaters of<br>
Argentina, and with the most renowned Tango orchestras.<br>
He has appeared in such shows as<i> Imagenes, Tango y Anoranzas,<br>
La Pesada del Tango, Tangokinesis, Tanguismo 91, Tango Tango,<br>
Viva Tango, Tango Passion, Buenos Aires Tango Show,</i> and<br>
<i>Tango Seduccion.<br>
<br>
</i>Jorge joined the cast of<i> Forever Tango</i> in 1995 as a dancer,
and also<br>
holds the position of dance captain. In 1998, Jorge was
nominated with</font></div>
<div><font size="-1"><i>Forever Tango</i> for the Tony Awards for best
choreography, and four</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Drama Desk awards.<br>
<br>
With Karen Kain he recorded<i> A Evaristo Carriego,</i> directed by
Luis<br>
Bravo for CBS, Canadian Broadcasting Company. He has
coordinated<br>
such events as the World Tango Week 2002 in Tokyo, and Tango<br>
Legend attracting record audiences every year. He was invited
to<br>
perform with Sexteto Mayor at the Santiago Municipal Theatre in<br>
Chile, and he was also a member of the jury for the First World<br>
Tango Championship of Argentinean Tango in Buenos Aires in 2003.<br>
He continues to present conferences at the University of El
Salvador</font></div>
