European immigrants arrived in Buenos Aires in search of a better future.
Many of them found lodging in the big old houses of the San Telmo, La Boca, and
Montserrat neighborhoods. Singles, couples, and even complete families
lived in poor rooms giving on to a common inner patio. These
collective <BR>lodgings, the conventillos, became a milestone in the history of
the city. The energy derived from the tenant's swarming dreams,

"porteña" family, one integrated by Amy & Ray, the Conventillo is open to
visitors who arrive, once again, in the dawn of the twenty-first century,
excited and eager to experience the traditions of Buenos Aires, its tango and

passionate people, with the nightlife of the city and the unending offer of

tourism.<BR><BR>Conventillo de Lujo can accommodate groups of up to 20 people,
to guarantee maximum comfort, security and relaxation. Smoking is allowed
only in the terraced balconies and the rooftop patio. This brand new
four-story corner building offers every necessary service to ensure your stay
will be a warm and unforgettable experience. Conventillo de Lujo is
located on Benjamín Matienzo in the traditional neighborhood of Belgrano,
classic area of old villas, some of which are still beautifully kept, turned
into embassies and luxurious private residences. Only two blocks
away from the busy Cabildo Avenue, we have the best access to public
