Argentine Tango Intensive Weekends with Alex Krebs in 2014

Tango Foundations 1-Day Intensive Workshop for all levels.

This 4-hour workshop is geared for those that are newer to Argentine Tango
and want to immerse themselves in a one-day intensive to get them past the
beginning level.  We will work on technique exercises as well as covering
the basic steps which are most used on the social dancefloor.
Time: noon-4pm, Sat., Nov. 15th, 2014

April 4th-6th: Musicality

This 3-day intensive will focus on all the major aspects of dancing
musically, including, rhythm, phrasing, dancing lyrically, understanding
the history of tango music and the orchestras.  We will focus on learning
how to listen to tango music, what to listen for and then develop exercises
and apply simple ideas to combinations to create more musical dancers.  The
intensive is geared to those with at least 18 months of tango dancing
experience.

Time: 6:30-8pm Friday, April 4th
noon-5pm Saturday, April 5th
noon-5pm Sunday, April 6th

Cost: $125/weekend

August 1st-3rd: Open Embrace/Extended Tango Vocabulary

This 3-day intensive weekend is meant for those that have been dancing for
at least 2 years and wish to understand, explore and refine a more flexible
embrace and the possibilities that arise from that embrace.  We will be
working on technique exercises in posture, pivots/spirals in the body,
ochos, molinetes and more adv. vocabulary such as sacadas, boleos and
off-axis movements.

Time: Friday, August 1st 6:30-8pm
Saturday, August 2nd from noon-5pm
Sunday, August 3rd from noon-5pm

Cost: $125/person

No partner is required.  Pre-registration is required.  The intensive
weekend will be limited in size and we will try to role balance it.  The
classes will be held at Tango Berretín, 6305 SE Foster Rd. in Portland, OR.
