ALICIA PONS IN CHICAGO - MARCH 8-15

Workshops on March 10 & 11 at ARTango

Special Milonga with Alicia Pons on Saturday, March 10 at Chicago Dance

Alicia Pons returns to Chicago next week. Alicia has put together an intensive weekend of tango workshops on March 10 and 11 for the intermediate and advanced level dancer.

We will also have a Special Milonga with Alicia Pons on Saturday, March 10th from 10pm-2am, at Chicago Dance.

Alicia has structured the weekend of workshops to be progressive and build off of each other.  A perfect way to improve or refine your dance. There are limited spaces left for the workshops.  We will attempt to gender balance the enrollment for the workshops. People that sign up for an individual class will need to sign up with a partner. Alicia will also be available for private lessons during her stay. Priority will be given to attendees of the workshops.

Biography
Alicia Pons is an elegant and accomplished dancer with a refined technique and distinctive personality. Her ability to imbue the role of the woman with vitality and style has made her one of the most sought after female partners in the milongas of Buenos Aires. And, she wows her tango partners here in the US when she visits. She is most noted for her footwork and sensual seduction, which are done with humor and decorum. She exemplifies presence in the dance and this is a focus in her teaching for both men and women.

As a teacher, Alicia emphasizes the connection with one's partner, and in particular the woman's ability to not just follow, but to be an equal protagonist in the dance. She is a very warm and caring person who loves to share her knowledge.
