There will be three one hour and 15 minute workshops Saturday afternoon & 
evening, followed by “La Divina” Milonga with Ernest Williams demo and DJ with 
some of his best tango tunes.

All workshops are Intermediate/Advanced level. 6 months tango dance experience 
minimum

3:15 to 4:30PM Cool Sacada Combinations 
The Sacada or "displacement" adds so many possibilities to your dance. This 
workshop will focus on the use of circular energy to create a variety of sacadas 
for both the man and the woman. It will provide participants with more complex 
alternatives using the fundamental principle of the sacada, or dislodgement. 
Suitable for both leaders and followers with stable fundamentals, including the 
confident lead and follow of the giros (the turn).
4:30 to 5:45 PM Cool Colgada Combinations
Colgadas are figures where the man leads the woman off of her axis to lean 
outward. The man can counter-balance the woman but also by moving his vertical 
axis outward. This class focuses on the basic Colgada technique and advances in 
difficulty based on the students experience level. We then look at performing 
colgadas to the open and close sides of the embrace. Colgada combinations with 
easy steps you already know to help you enter into and exit out of Colgadas with 
grace and dignity!
5:45 to 7:00 PM Boleos 
This workshop will focus on the fundamental boleo giving participants an 
opportunity to either brush up on their technique or gain exposure to this much 
loved yet often understood Tango move. The technique will reinforce the use of 
circular energy to create attractive effects. Socially acceptable alternatives 
will also be provided. Suitable for both leaders and followers with stable 
fundamentals.
8-12 PM Milonga General Admission $12.00 or with purchase of a Workshops is 
$10.00
The Milonga includes DJ music with Classic Tango, Rythmic Milongas, a lively mix 
of Nuevo and Alternative Tango by Ernest Williams tango collection.
A limited number of PRIVATE LESSONS will be available. Private lessons are $120 
for a 45-minute lesson on Saturday & Sunday morning & early afternoon they must 
be paid for one week in advance to reserve your spot or it will be resold. To

Ernest Williams first discovered Tango in 2000. With Argentina’s Fernando 
Filipelli as his instructor, it quickly became a lifestyle. While living in 
Hawaii in 2002, Ernest began teaching tango formally at the request of fellow 
dancers who recognized his ability to translate the more difficult concepts. 
Since 2003, Ernest has traveled nationally and internationally gathering a 
wealth of knowledge and experience in the world of dance from various sources. 
He has conducted workshops, seminars and/or dance exhibitions in numerous 
cities. His focus in teaching is primarily milonguero, canyengue and canyenguero 
(milonguero infused with canyengue).
Although he enjoys dancing and teaching various styles of tango, his preferred 
style to teach is traditional social tango in closed embrace with the flare for 
the older styles of tango making it new and exciting. He stresses the feel, 
technique and musicality of the dance more than the fancy steps.
