Presented by the Memphis Argentine Tango Society
Juan Cantone and Maria Soledad Orozco, internationally recognized performers
and teachers, bring to their tango teaching a broad background knowledge of
music, ballet, and modern dance.  At the Moray Godoy school of Tango in
Buenos Aires, Juan and Sol have distinguished themselves in their ability to
distill and convey to their students the techniques of the great masters of
tango.  As a result, they have produced some of the best young tango dancers
presently teaching and performing in Argentina, Europe and Japan.  In 2006
their students  won the World Tango Championship in the Tango Salon
category.

Milonga:  A great introduction to the dance.
Workshop at Fred Astaire Dance Studio, 6645 Poplar Ave Suite #206, Mphs,Tn
1:00 – 2:30pm (All levels) Fasten your seatbelts: Leaving Milonga
Sentimental, arriving to Reliquias Porteñas.  Leaving slow milongas behind
and diving into the fastest ones. The secrets of dancing fast but relaxed
milonga.
3:00 – 4:30pm (Adv beginner – Int.) Complex Musicality:   Diving into the
less beaten path.  Complex rhythmic cells to use in tango
8:00 – 11:00pm   Milonga (tango party) and performance @ Fred Astaire
Studio.  Free to the public.

Tango Vals
12:00 – 1:30pm  (Adv beginner – Int)   Perpetual movement in vals. (Clue:
bring your Dramamine)  Giros and all the variations on the theme
2:00 – 3:30pm (Adv beginner – Int) Threading circular units.  A circular
vals. Explore the idea of dancing vals as threading a chain of beads.

Classes $25 per class per person  $15 per class for students w/ID.
