     I will not be traveling next year and instead am offering three weekend
intensives in Portland, OR which include:
9+ hours of instruction
Guided Practice time
Q&A sessions

Here are the details of each weekend:

January 14th-16th, 2011
Musicality Intensive (for intermediate and above dancers -- at least one
year experience):
Friday:
6:30-7:45pm -- "Elements of tango music (lecture)"
Saturday:
11am-noon -- "Rhythmic elements"
1-2:30pm -- "Melodic elements"
3-4:30pm -- "Literal vs. figurative musicality"
4:30-5pm -- Q&A session
Sunday: 11am-5pm
11am-noon -- Overview of the orchestras/decades
1-2:30pm -- Musical accents and breaks
3-4:30pm -- Dynamics/Articulations
4:30-5pm -- Q&A session

Milonga Intensive (for intermediate and above dancers -- at least one year
experience):
Friday: 6:30-7:45pm -- Slow structures in milonga
Saturday:
11am-12:30pm -- tango-milonga -- finding the groove
1:30-3pm -- adapting tango moves to work in the milonga rhythm
3:30-4:30pm -- traspie transitions, musicality, and sequencing in milonga
4:30-5pm Q&A session/guided practice
Sunday:
11am-12:30pm -- crosses in milonga
1:30-3pm -- more traspie ideas
3:30-4:30pm -- combinations/flow/feel
4:30-5pm -- Q&A session/guided practice

Technique Intensive with Alex (for intermediate and above dancers at least
one year experience):
Friday: 6:30-7:45pm -- Technique for posture/walking
Saturday:
11am-12:30pm -- Technique and connection in different embraces
1:30-2:30pm -- pivots and ochos
3-4:30pm -- Molinetes/Giros
4:30-5pm -- Q&A Session/Guided practice
Sunday:
11am-12:30pm -- Musicality overview
1:30-3pm -- Dynamics/Interaction
3:30-4:30pm -- Talking/Listening
4:30-5pm -- Q&A Session/Guided practice

All intensives will be held at Tango Berretin (6305 SE Foster Rd., Portland,
OR 97206)
Cost is $115/person/intensive weekend.
Intensives are limited to 15 leaders and 15 followers.  We will be rotating
partners.
Women may sign up as a lead, and men may sign up as a follow.
Pre-registration is required for each of the intensives.  Reservation is
made and held for one week via e-mail
(tangoberretin at gmail.com), and confirmed with full payment
(check made/mailed to Alex Krebs, 6305 SE Foster Rd., Portland, OR 97206).
No refunds after one month prior to each intensive on confirmed
reservations, though transfers are allowed after that.
A mix cd and handouts are included in each intensive.  Filming is allowed.
