Woodstock Tango welcomes Gustavo Benzecry Sabá and Maria Olivera for 
their third visit to the Arts Colony.
Since their visit here last year, Maria and Gustavo have been all over 
the world, teaching and performing, and we are thrilled to have them back!

3-4:30pm: TANGO: Creative variations in 'every day' movements- 
Not-so-easy fundamentals; Stylish Milonguero Combinations. All Levels.
4:45-6:30pm: VALS: Spinning Along the Line of Dance- Many dancers just 
dance tango moves to vals. But Vals has its own special identity and 
secrets!
It's about turns-turns-turns! During a good vals, you feel you are 
flying. All levels.

ABOUT : Maria and Gustavo belong to the very best of contemporary 
Argentine Tango SALON dancers. They have been performing in the most 
famous milongas of Buenos Aires, and are regular teachers at the famous 
Salon Canning. They have also worked for the renowned "Escuela de Tango 
Beba Bidart" and for the "Centro Cultural Torquato Tasso". Their 
invigorating musicality maintains clear lines and superb technique, and 
has made them equally sought after performers and teachers abroad. They 
travel regularly to Europe, Canada and the US.

Gustavo is a prolific author of tango books; he authored the book "La 
Pista Del Abrazo - Tecnicas y Metaforas - Entre el Tango y la Vida", 
translated by Maria into its English version "Embracing Tango". This 
unique book about Tango de Salon deals with all the concepts related to 
this style, as well as with the codes of behavior at milongas, working 
out strategies and suggestions pertaining to dance invitation and 
acceptance. Gustavo is also the author of "TangoDanza Glossary - Key to 
Tango Argentino dance terms", which describes more than 300 terms 
related to tango, with the prologue by Juan Carlos Copes and Carlos 
Gavito, and epilogue by Miguel Angel Zotto. For his work as a dancer, 
teacher and writer Gustavo has been awarded "Sabados milongueros" and 
"Pa'que bailen los muchachos", an honor degree recognized by several 
government agencies. In 2009 he and Maria produced the documentary “The 
History of Tango Dance – 1940 / 1960”.
