PROGRAM

Classes by SERGIO (Totally Beginners and pre-intermediate)



 2:00 to 3:15  
   Fundamentals of Tango

(Posture, elegance, weight transfer, direction of the dance, embrace and
connection with the couple, basics of leading and following). Paso basico (8
position steps)



 4:00 to 5:15  
   Musicality, change of dynamics and navigation.

Understanding the “compas” in Argentine tango. Single beat, double beat, every
other beat. Possible combinations to create change of dynamics. Navigation on
the dance floor. Basic tips, etiquette, using the music and “rock steps”.

Paso basico knowledge is required.



 6:00 to 7 :00 Sergio is open for ONE private
lesson



Classes by ANTON (Intermediate)



 2:00 to 3:15  
   Turns.

One of the most important intermediate tango figures. To the left and right.
Precision & geometry. The class will be focused on leading and following
techniques.



 4:00 to 5:15  
   Planeos

Simple and easy way to embellish your dance on the floor. Basic of planeo for
leading and following. Understanding the axis and balance. How to get planeos
from different positions. Planeo as a navigation tools. Some tips for its use
with musicality.



6:00 to 7 :00     Anton is open for ONE private lesson

About Anton & Sergio

Sergio Segura & Anton Gazenbeek are directors of the School of Traditional
Argentine Tango of New York City, Tango historians, producers of 5 teaching
DVDS, creators of the Anthropology of Tango Dance and Epocas de Tango show.
They are only male-male professional tango couple in North America. They have
performed all over the country including at the California Dreaming Same-Sex
Dance Festival, at the Hispanic Heritage Parade on 5th Avenue, and in countless
presentations throughout the USA and Argentina.
