Registration for the Chicago Mini Tango Festival is now available!!

Registration is now available for the 2011 Chicago Mini Tango Festival, http://chicagotangofestival.com  (the 6th annual milonguero festival in Chicago).  The Festival will be held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare from Thursday, April 14 through Sunday, April 17, 2011.  Early, Early Bird rates are available until January 1, 2011.  

The instructors - all from Buenos Aires - include Maria Plazaola, Blas Clemente Catrenau and Enriqueta Kleinman, Ricardo Viqueira, and Gustavo Benzecry and Maria Olivera.   We are delighted to have Maria Plazaola join us again at the Festival; she and Susana Miller were the ones who inspired us to start the Chicago Mini Tango Festival six years ago.  We are also delighted for the first time to have two great milongueros join us at the Festival: Ricardo Viqueira and Blas Clemente Catrenau.  Blas was the 2004 Metropolitan Tango Champion in Buenos Aires. The Festival will be held at a new location this year, the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. We obtained a special $115/rate per night for 1-4 people.  The hotel provides complimentary 24 hour shuttle service from O’Hare airport, 24 hour Stay Fit Gym access, and a reduced overnight parking rate. We plan to have at least seven milongas and 18 workshops for Festival attendees.  As usual we also plan to have some special “master classes”.
