Bios
Damian Thompson is a fun-loving Aussie tango-trippin’ across the US.
An instructor based in Australia, Damian has come to Chicago to share
his enthusiasm and expertise in tango, especially in how to make
"Nuevo" Tango feel like an integral part of your dance -- not just for
special occasions, or a distinct dance form!  Nina Tatarowicz is based
in Chicago and is known for the elegant lines and dynamic energy of
her dance.  She has the ability to teach the subtlety of salon tango
to all levels through positive encouragement and clarity.

Details

We know that this is late notice for the workshops.  But rest assured,
those of you who can make it are gonna have a BLAST with us!  Ladies,
we will be working on technique for creating exquisite lines in
exciting "free-leg" moves like boleos and ganchos.  Guys, Damian will
give you the secrets to a precise lead, and linking moves with your
walk to travel down line of dance.  Together, we'll demonstrate the
ease with which you can incorporate these concepts into your dance.

One more note:  we don't focus on having you memorize specific
sequences;  rather, we will give you the tools to be your own creative
tango engineers.  And isn't that what it's all about?  Improv baby --
let's get in the moment!

prior to Milonga Loca:  only $10.

Stylizing the Walk:  What makes the walk elegant.  All Levels.  8 - 9pm.  $10

Linear Boleos.  Intermediate.

2:30 - 3:45pm
“You’ve got me hooked!”:  Advanced Ganchos with +
without Colgadas.  Advanced.


Monday 10/5 at ATI:  All Levels.  8 - 9:15pm
Tango Play:  A blow-your-mind experience of tango fun!

Monday workshop is followed by ATI's first of a new Monday night
event:  XX Practilonga!
