Gustavo Benzecry and Maria Olivera are in Chicago until November 5th.  They will do a class tomorrow, Friday, October 30th, from 8-9pm before Milonga Portena at the Latvian Center, 4146 N. Elston, Chicago (separate charge - for info contact Fred: 773-580-7199). This Saturday, October 31st, and Sunday, November 1st they will do workshops at Dance Connection.  The evening of October 31st we will have a Halloween Milonga at Dance Connection with special performances by Gustavo and Maria, and Enriqueta Kleinman on the evening of October 31st. On Tuesday evening, we will have a special evening at Milonga Negra with Gustavo and Maria. 

During 2008 and 2009 Gustavo and Maria have toured more than 20 cities including New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Boston, Chicago (where they participated in the last Chicago Mini Tango Fest with great success - you can click on this link to watch their performance during the festival: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ9Y7-eoEpc) and Portland, where they got the highest records for their instruction in the October Festival. 12:00-1:30 A: Basic techniques for "molinetes (turns and counter-turns) (all levels) Body isolation and understanding of axes.
2:00-3:30 Milonga traspie (intermediate & up) Understanding of the rhythm and ways of listening to the music.
4:00-5:30 C: Unorthodox giros (intermediate & up) construction and deconstruction. Complete understanding and control over turns - creating your own giros
