Level 1: Beginner -- Tuesdays @ 7:30pm or Thursdays @ 6:30pm
New to Argentine tango? We'll get you dancing in no time! You are not
expected to know anything about tango or about partner dancing, and
you don't need to bring a partner. You will learn: Basic walking,
basic lead and follow, fundamental tools for navigating around the
dance floor and how to lead the "cross".

Levels 2-4: Barridas!
This month we will explore Barridas (sweeps) classes, while exploring
the music of Carlos di Sarli with Roberto Rufino (we spotlight a
different orchestra each month with the music we play in class to help
you improve your musicality.)

Level 2: Advanced Beginner -- Wednesdays @ 7:30pm
This level is for students who have taken at least one month of
classes. You are welcome to take this class in combination with the
Advanced-Beginner Technique on Thursdays. Most students spend about
three months of at this level before moving onto the next level.

Level 2: Advanced Beginner Technique -- Thursdays @ 7:30pm
This class focuses on the technical elements of the dance such as
posture, balance, partner communication, axis awareness, and
connectivity. These elements will help you be a more effective leader
or follower, and add some polish to the steps you are learning.

Level 3: Pre-Intermediate -- Wednesdays @ 8:30pm
For students who have taken at least four months of classes. Here,
while improving your leader-follower communication, you will learn
variations and patterns incorporating the barrida.

Level 3: Advanced Beginner-Intermediate Milonga -- Wednesdays @ 6:30pm
This is a dedicated milonga class for students from levels 2 to 4
(Advanced Beginner to Intermediate). This class will teach the basics
of milonga: the beat, some fun steps and things such as traspie and
corridas, enabling you to get the beat and dance to it!

Level 4: Intermediate -- Tuesdays @ 8:30pm
This level is for students who have taken at least seven months of classes.

Level 5: Advanced Tango Technique -- Thursdays @ 8:30pm
This level is for students who have taken at least a year of classes.
This class explores the technical aspects of the dance with special
emphasis on the basic elements: lead and follow weight changes,
pivots, turns, shared and individual axis, changes of direction and
counterbalance. You will learn to find your own personal dance style
and advance your improvisation abilities. By permission of instructor,
partner not required. Register online at www.tangonyc.com. YOU MUST
REGISTER TO ATTEND!

This month in Advanced Tango Technique: Steve Cook returns to teach
with Carina!
