Humberto is a well respected dancer and teacher from Buenos Aires on
his US Tour 2008. He is part of the active participants in the current
Buenos Aires tango scene. Humberto's diversity as performer and
teacher gives him an overall understanding of tango and its varied
styles. He will bring a special weekend focused on tango for the
intermediate/advanced level, designed to improve students' abilities
in the sacada technique. His teaching method is relaxed and
accessible; he adapts the sequences to the students' own abilities.
Humberto has a detailed approach to individual needs.

1pm-2:30pm The Tango walk with sacadas, traspies, and adornments (Int/Adv)
2:45pm-4:15pm Sacadas for leaders and followers (Int/Adv)
*followed by guided practica

Sun Nov 16
1pm-2:30pm Changes of direction with sacadas (Int/Adv)
2:45pm-4:15pm The fourth sacada/sacadas with counterbody movement. (Int/Adv)
*followed by guided practica

Methodology, Themes and Concentrations
In each class we will work on:
* Elements of technique necessary for the theme of that particular class
* Posture, the walk, and different forms of the embrace
* Sensibility, connection and communication with your dance partner
* The specific characteristics of each role: the leader and the follower
* Analyzing in detail how to communicate with your partner to create
certain moves or sequences (without dancing from memory, but from the
lead)
* Sequences and choreographic ideas most commonly used
* The structure of the music, rhythm and musicality.
* Improvisation and creativity within your dance.

Workshop Pricing:
1-day $35/person
2-day $70/person
drop in $20 per class
