Dear Friends,

We invite you to join QuinTango at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in
Charleston May 25-31. The Festival + Charleston's restaurants and
ambiance is a fabulous combination. History-filled streets, great
food and wine, chamber music, opera, blues, jazz, and tangos, tangos,
tangos - irresistible!

This year QuinTango is performing a two-concert "History of Tango"
series with dancers Carina Losano & Harby Gonzalez at Footlight
Players Theatre, 20 Queen Street. Tango's Golden Age features great
tangos of the 30's and 40's, including the Gardel favorites "Por Una
Cabeza" and "El Dia Que Me Quieras," and repertoire from QuinTango's
latest CD, Triunfal (May 2008). Show times for Tango's Golden Age:
Sunday, May 25 at noon
Monday, May 26 at 5:00
Thursday, May 29 at 2:00
Saturday, May 31 at 3 :00.
Piazzolla's New Tango is an all-Piazzolla program including the
masterpiece "Adios Nonino," the poignant "Balada para un Loco," more
delicious new repertoire from our latest CD, Triunfal, plus a guest
appearance by Erin Bolshakov. Show times for Piazzolla's New Tango:
Monday, May 26 at 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday May 28 at 4:00
Friday May 30 at 3:00.
Click here to see the full list of songs being played on both programs.
If you want to see the shows consecutively, come on Monday the 26th -
there is time for a leisurely lunch and a stroll in between the 11:30
a.m. and 5:00 p.m. shows. Plan to see them both - it's the next best
thing to a trip to Buenos Aires!
