THEME OF THE MONTH IS GIROS
AUGUST CLASSES START THIS WEEK!
Are you feeling dizzy? Faint of breath? It's not the heat,
it's this month's featured topic! As with all of the basic
tango elements, the giro can be maddeningly difficult
to perfect. Once mastered, however, there is no better
way to show off the follower and preserve momentum
within limited space. (Advanced Beginner - Intermediate)

TUESDAY MILONGA @ TRIANGULO  8/5

This week we have the hypercool DJ Ko spinning a mix of
traditional and alternative, plus a performance by Rachel
Greenberg. Rachel travels mainly to Europe, where she
often teaches with Pablo Veron, so this is a rare opportunity!
(Ladies, if you like what you see, Rachel will be teaching a
workshop on followers' technique at Ripley Grier on

2007 US Tango Champion Eduardo teams up with Carina to teach
an all-new series of advanced workshops on Thursday nights
8:30-9:30pm. $22/each or $80 for all 4 ($75 if you sign up before
8/5). By permission of instructor - to register please email

    A MILE A MINUTE: INTRO TO MILONGA TRASPIE - 8/7
    Add agility and rhthym to your milonga with an introduction
    to (and variations on) this classic move.

    DOWN AND OUT: PLANEOS, LUNGES,
    AND OTHER LOW MOVEMENTS- 8/14
    Join us as we play around with concepts of the lead and
    the often overlooked dimension of height in tango.
    Beautiful, suspended motion that will expand your nuevo
    repertoire.

    A CLEAN SWEEP: BARRIDAS FOR LEAD AND FOLLOW - 8/21
    The barrida or sweep is a flirty move in and of itself; learn how
    to incorporate it into new sequences that open up two-way
    dialogue between leaders and followers.

    CRACK OF THE WHIP: BETTER BOLEOS
    FORWARD, BACK, AND INLINE - 8/28
    Finetune your technique and play with front and inline boleos.
