Memphis Argentine Tango Society

 

Juan Cantone and Maria Soledad (Sol) Orozco, internationally recognized
performers and teachers, bring to their tango teaching a broad background
knowledge of music, ballet, and modern dance. At the famous Mora Godoy
school of Tango in Buenos Aires, Juan and Sol have distinguished themselves
in their ability to distill and convey to their students the techniques of
the great masters of tango. As a result, they have produced some of the best
young tango dancers presently teaching and performing in Argentina, Europe
and Japan. In 2006 their students won the World Tango Championship in the
Tango Salón category. They have developed a tango teaching method called
Tangokultura, the objective being to teach expressive tango built on solid
technique resulting in a unique style for each student dancer. Each student
(amateur or professional level) becomes the craftsman of his/her own dance
style while advancing in the learning of tango.
