*About ANTONIO TODARO:*
Antonio Todaro was a great inventor/creator of tango figures and steps who
had a strong influence on how tango is danced today. His style was strong,
athletic, fast, and powerful. In Todaro's style, both partners are equally
powerfull. He was very proud of the speed, agility, and acrobatics of his
technique. Todaro often practiced and invented new steps with other
accomplished leaders like Raul Bravo. One led and the other followed, and
then they switched. Out of these practices evolved a very strong, one could
say almost "A-sexual" style in which there was no masculine and no feminine.
Both partners were equally strong. A leader could do a follower's step, and
a follower could do a leaders step. Many of todays most famous and
accomplished dancers and teachers studied with Todaro.

*About* *PEPITO AVELLANEDA:*
Pepito was a very talented social dancer from the golden age famous for his
milonga. His signature style consisted of playfull and creative complex
figures. He was one of the first milongueros to travel to Europe to teach
Argentine tango. Many of the today's famous dancers have studied with him
and his figures have been modified to use on the stage. Carina Losano was
one of his students.
