If you haven't already pre-registered, you can still come to the 3rd
Annual Close Embrace Tango Fiesta in Urbana this weekend and
experience tango as it is danced in Buenos Aires - milonguero style.
Advance Registation has been excellent, with a variety of dancers
coming from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota,
and California. We are once again expecting over 100 people to attend
the Fiesta.

The Annual Close Embrace Tango Fiesta in Urbana has gained a
reputation for high quality instruction and dancing at a reasonable

All activities are at the Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W Stougton,
Urbana IL.

At the Fiesta, we will still have the following special pricing available:

(1) Friday Evening of Tango ($20, $10 students)
- Registration begins at 7 PM
- Choice of workshop:
(a) 7:30 - 9:30 PM: "Introduction to Tango in Close Embrace"
    Instructors: Ron Weigel & Susana Vazquez Weigel (Urbana IL)
    - for newcomers to tango in close embrace (< 6 hrs close embrace
instruction)
(b) 8:00 - 9:30 PM: "Milonguero Technique"
    Instructors: Robert Hauk (Portland OR) & Barbara Durr
    - all levels above newcomer
+ 9:30 PM - 1:30 AM: Milonga [Avik Basu, Ann Arbor MI, DJ]

(2) Saturday or Sunday Afternoon Workshop Session
- $45 ($25 students) for 2 workshops in session:
Saturday 1:30 - 4:15 PM
- 2 Intermediate/Advanced workshops with Robert Hauk & Barbara Durr, or
- 2 Beginner workshops with Yelena Sinelnikova & Avik Basu (Ann Arbor MI)
Sunday 2 PM - 5 PM
- 2 Advanced workshops with Robert Hauk & Barbara Durr, or
- 2 Advanced Beginner / Intermediate workshops with Yelena Sinelnikova
& Avik Basu

Individual workshops Saturday or Sunday are $25 ($15 students).

(3) Saturday Night Special
= Milonga and a Movie for $20
(a) 8:00 - 9:30 PM: Documentary Film "Chasing the Ghost"
   Presentation by Barbara Durr with Discussion
- film footage of milongas of Buenos Aires, including some famous milongueros
(b) 9:30 PM - 2 AM: Milonga [Robert Hauk, DJ]

(4) Beginner Pass ($60, $40 students)
- By popular demand we are allowing people to register for the
Beginner Pass on Friday night ONLY. The Beginner Pass includes:
(1) Friday Night "Introduction to tango in Close Embrace" workshop
with Ron & Susana
(2) Friday Night Milonga
(3) 2 Saturday afternoon Beginner workshops with Yelena & Avik
(4) Saturday Night Special (Milonga & a Movie)
(5) Sunday Noon (to 2 PM) Practica

Admission to Milongas outside of special pricing:
$10 Friday (9:30 PM - 1:30 AM) or Sunday (5 - 9 PM)
$15 Saturday (9:30 PM - 2 AM)

We will also have 2 meals available for Fiesta attendees:
(1) Sunday Brunch (Noon - 2 PM; alongside Practica): $5
- Starbucks coffee, various breads & cheeses, jams & jellies
(2) Sunday Barbecue Dinner (5-7 PM; alongside Milonga): $10

Relax and socialize with Fiesta attendees and instuctors at these
meals (when you're not dancing).

This will be an exciting weekend, one of the best close embrace tango
festivals in the USA!
