SUSANA MILLER of Buenos Aires is the most prominent
teacher in the world today of the milonguero-style of
tango.  Clarin, the major Buenos Aires daily paper,
called her one of the four most important influences
on contemporary tango.   Milonguero-style is danced in
the crowded clubs of central Buenos Aires. It
emphasizes the connection between the couple and
musicality, resulting in a natural connection between
dancers.  

DIEGO YEPES of Buenos Aires has taught at the Festival
Internacional de Tango Argentino in Buenos Aires for
the past 4 years.  He has also taught at the National
Academy of Tango, Club Almagro, La Ideal, El Beso, and
La Academia de Susana Miller.  He has also deejayed at
Club Almagro, La Ideal, and El Beso.  His specialty is
milonga (caminita and traspie).

FRIDAY, MAY 26
7:30-8:00pm  Registration & Warm-up.  
8:00-9:30pm  1. MILONGUERO FUNDAMENTALS I (All
levels).  Like a musical instrument, the body also
needs to be tuned.  This milonguero refresher includes
posture, rhythm, embrace, and basic choreography.  
$15 for first-timers. 
9:30-11:30pm  TANGO SOCIAL.  Free with workshops, $5
otherwise.

SATURDAY, MAY 27
1:00-1:30pm  Registration & Warm-up.  
1:30-3:00pm  2.  MILONGUERO FUNDAMENTALS II (Adv. Beg.
& up).  Turns in close-embrace, floorcraft.  
3:30-5:00pm  3.  MILONGA TRASPIE (Int).  Combining
traspie with walking. Traspié: sending and receiving.

SUNDAY, MAY 28
2:30-3:00pm  Registration & Warm-up.   
3:00-4:30pm  4.  VALS (Int/Adv).  Turns,
counter-turns, sacadas, boleos.
5:00-6:30pm  5.  KEYS TO TANGO (Adv).  Developing a
complex sequence from a very basic step. 

MONDAY, MAY 29
11:45-12:00pm  Registration & Warm-Up.   
12:00-2:00pm  6.  MASTER CLASS – VELOCITY OF MOVEMENT
I (Adv).  Part 1 of a 4-hour workshop designed to work
on variations of rapidity for legs and feet. 
Particularly important for giros/contragiros and for
advancing/backing up in compact turns and walks.  For
serious advanced close-embrace dancers only.  Maximum
registration of 16 people.
2:30-4:30pm  7. MASTER CLASS – VELOCITY OF MOVEMENT II
(Adv).  Continuation of Part I.  Prerequisite is
Velocity of Movement I.  No exceptions.
