Dear Tango Friends,

Please mark your calendars for the 7th Annual Denver Milonguero Tango
Festival over Labor Day weekend. Festival runs from Aug 30 - Sept 4
(Wed - Mon). Early arrivals will find the Tuesday Tango Colorado
Practica very enticing.

We expect attendance of about 400, including many skilled Denver
tango dancers.

Registration form is now open for reservation and payment at early
purchase prices:

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT DENVER TANGO FESTIVALS?

The Denver Tango Festivals are focused on high-quality dancing. We
choose top DJs, and set up the dance floors for social dancing. Many
great dancers from around the US attend; many are teachers, many have
visited Buenos Aires. The goal is to recreate the Buenos Aires dance
experience: close, connected, subtle.

One of the best complements from Memorial Day, actually arrived via a
complaint: "I've had four classes already, and so far I haven't
learned a single bit of vocabulary." EXACTLY! The classes assume you
ALREADY know vocabulary, and are ready for more advanced material,
namely musicality, quality, feeling, energy, embrace, technique, etc.

The Labor Day Denver Milonguero Festival features teachers known for
their ability to teach close-embrace tango, and build community. All
teachers will focus on navigation skills and musicality.

Teaching Staff this year includes:
  - Christopher & Caroline from San Francisco (Special early-arrival
teachers on Thur)
  - Robert Hauk & Barbara Durr (Robert also comes in early for Wed
classes)
  - Robin Thomas & Jennifer Olsen, from New York
  - Yelena & Avik, from Ann Arbor Michigan.

Featured DJs include:
  - Robin Thomas
  - Robert Hauk
  - Ramu Pyreddy
  - Surprise guests

Live Music of Extasis, Denver's own tango orchestra (Pugliese sound)

NEW AND IMPROVED FOR 2006:

We expect Labor Day to be a bit smaller than Memorial Day. Level of
classes and milongas will still be high. Good navigation will still
be critical!

In contrast with Memorial Day, we will have an INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
track of classes. These expect that you are fluent with Adv-Beginner
material, such as ochos, ocho-cortados, improvisation, and navigation.
