June 16-18 --Adam "Hoop" Hoopengardner (New York) returns to Pittsburgh
to teach, dance, and DJ.

 

Friday, June 16 (5000 Forbes Ave, CMU Student Union, Activities Room,
2nd Floor )

7:00-8:15 pm.  Tango Fundamentals: walking, connecting, the embrace, the
music. $10 - includes practica afterwards.

8:15 -10:00 pm.  Guided practica. $5 to those not in the class.  Bring
your tango questions and get personal pointers on your dance.

 

Directions:  At Forbes and Beeler, enter CMU campus at the the main
Visitors Entrance; park in the garage (free).  The Student Union
Building sits at the near end of the sports field directly behind the
garage.  

 

Saturday, June 17 (WSCC, 7604 Charleston Ave, Regent Square 15218)

1:00 pm - Sign up and warm up. Adam will structure his classes to our
abilities, using different exercises to help us explore the dance.
--Workshop A) 1:30 - 3:00 pm.  From Ochos to Infinity:  Working in cross
system
--Workshop B) 3:15 - 4:45 pm.  Smooth Navigation: Using turns to avoid
making waves 

--Workshop C) 5:00 - 6:30 pm.  Tango Fundamentals: walking, connecting,
the embrace, the music.

enabled her to become one of her region's best tango technicians. She is
the Founder of 'Tango Pulse,' a popular Argentine tango website and host
for milongas and workshops, and co-host with Daniel Trenner for
