[Nancy Newman]

Luciana has taken the U.S. by storm winning widespread recognition as the
best female teacher to come out of Buenos Aires in many years. She has
developed a passionate following drawn to her magnetic and expressive
personality and her enthusiastic devotion to tango. She is an energetic and
inspiring teacher noted for her technical clarity and her special genius at
conveying the senuous style and soul of tango. Her classes will focus on
understanding the structure of the dance, the technical keys to move
comfortably and expressively and the strong connection required to lead and
follow. Her workshops will give you the technical foundation to find and
develop your own personal style.

Thursday, July 6th
7:00-8:30p - Refining the Fundamentals (All levels)
8:30-10:00p -  Changing the Embrace (All levels) Seamless transitions
between close and open.
 
Friday, July 7th
7:30-9:00pm - Basic Tango Turns (All levels) tecnique for turns and how to
use them to navigate.
9:00pm-1:00am - Milonga - DJ Newman; Cover $6
 
Saturday, July 8th
1:00-2:30pm - Footwork and embellishments for leaders & followers
3:00-4:30pm - Colgadas
5:00-6:30pm - Tango Turns and Sacadas 
8:00pm-Midnight - Potluck/Dance at Sonny & Nancy Newman's House (4227 4th
Avenue NW, Seattle 98107  -- Fremont area)
Bring something to share food & drink, please.
 
Sunday, July 9th
2:30-4:00pm - Rhythms & Systems (All levels) Understand "parallel" and
"crossed" systems, and the relationship and use of rhythm when changing
systems.
4:30-6:00pm - Boleos I - Back/front, with contra
7:00-8:30p- Musicality & Expressiveness
8:30pm-Midnight - Milonga at Sonny Newman's Dance Hall; Cover $6

One class - $25; Two or more classes  - $20 each; All 9 classes - $170

PRIVATE LESSONS:
Luciana is also available for private lessons on Friday and Monday
afternoons - $100/hr.   You must come as a lead/follow combination for
