<div dir="ltr">Hello Tang Residents,<div><br></div><div>Just as a follow-up: I have received a response saying that the LaundryView website showed inaccurate information. If we don't match machine numbers, then yes, it is inaccurate status information.</div>
<div><br></div><div>However, if you were to match machine numbers to statuses, you will find that the status information is indeed correct. For example, Machines 19 and 20 are coin-only washers, but show up as dryers instead. That said, they only run 26 minute runs (white or colors settings, not sure of the others) - and if you were to run your laundry on 19 and 20, the machines 19 and 20 (which look like dryers) will count down from 26 minutes.</div>
<div><br></div><div style>That said, I know that this is a problem for users of LaundryView, and so I have emailed Michael Collins about this, and separately filed a problem report with MacGray. I do have to say, though, that MacGray only gave me 55 characters of space on their problem report form - irritating to say the least! Here's hoping our House Manager, Michael, will help advocate on our behalf.</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>Hope this clears up any confusion!</div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br clear="all"><div>Cheers,<br>Eric<br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------<br><font color="#009900">Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail. <div dir="ltr">Hello Tang Residents,<div><br></div><div>This is your IT Chair here with a reminder on some of the neat IT facilities we have.<br><div><br></div><div>Just wanted to remind everybody (and let the new subletters know) that you can check the status of the laundry room at LaundryView's <a href="http://www.laundryview.com/laundry_room.php?lr=1364810" target="_blank">website</a>. A link is available on the <a href="http://tang.mit.edu" target="_blank">Tang homepage</a> on the left sidebar, under the "Facilities" header.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Also, if you would like to know when your laundry is done and be notified on your phone via email or SMS, you can use LaundryView's <a href="http://www.laundryview.com/faqs.php#11" target="_blank">"Text Alerts" feature</a>. That should, for example, help reduce the occurrence of your laundry being left in the dryer or washer, and having someone else take out your clothing for you when they need the machine.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Together, we can optimize our use of the laundry room!</div><div><br clear="all"><div>Cheers,<br>Eric<br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------<br><font color="#009900">Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail.
