<div dir="ltr">Hi all,<div><br></div><div>Iīm working with big clusters that goes from 15 to 20 nodes, using cc2 and cr1 instances types.</div><div>I understand that when you use spot instances, you can deploy until 100 instances from any instance type.</div>
<div>Sometimes, StarCluster complaints and give some error messages saying that I have reached my limit of 20? (Isnīt this for on demand?)</div><div>Does AWS counts stopped, terminated instances on this limit?</div><div>It seems so since sometimes Iīve got a 15 cr1.8xlarge cluster running with spot instances and canīt deploy a second one with same type.</div>

<div><span style="line-height:16px;white-space:nowrap">StarCluster keeps on waiting forever...</span></div><div><span style="line-height:16px;white-space:nowrap">Donīt you think that this situation should have a specail behavior, with signs that something is not</span></div>
<div><span style="line-height:16px;white-space:nowrap">good in your launch?</span></div><div><span style="line-height:16px;white-space:nowrap">In this case, I had to terminate the cluster since itīs not allowed to change the bid price. </span></div>
