The AWS_REGION_NAME and AWS_REGION_HOST lines need to be in your [aws info] section, not [global]. That's my guess.

[ aws info]
AWS_REGION_NAME = eu-west-1
AWS_REGION_HOST = ec2.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com

Subject: [StarCluster] ERROR CREATING A NEW EBS VOLUME IN EUROPE FROM STARCLUSTER

Hy, I'm trying to create a new EBS volume from starcluster command, i
give the command starcluster createvolume 60 eu-west-1a. My availability
region in the confif file is eu-west-1. When I launch the command I
receive the error:

ValidationError: image ami-9bf9c9f2 does not exist
!!! ERROR - image ami-9bf9c9f2 does not exist

But the ami above is not present anywhere in my config file, and
searching for it I found is the default AMI for us-east-1. Why
starcluster is not able to launch a device creator instance in my region
and try to launch an AMI I didn't specify anywhere? Thanks.
